Data deletion instructions
Short version: you can remove Postiada’s access to your accounts yourself in a minute, and you can have every piece of data we hold about you deleted by sending one e-mail. Nothing we published to your own website or accounts is touched unless you ask.
1. What Postiada stores
To publish for you, Postiada keeps a small set of data per site: your account details (name, e-mail, company), the WordPress address and the application password you created for us, the identifiers and access tokens for the Facebook Page and Instagram professional account you connected, the business facts you verified during setup, and the log of what was written, checked and published. The full list, with retention periods, is in our Privacy Policy (sections 2 and 6).
2. Revoke access yourself — no request needed
- WordPress: in your WordPress admin go to Users → Profile → Application Passwords and revoke the password named “Postiada”. Publishing to your site stops immediately.
- Facebook and Instagram: in Facebook go to Settings & Privacy → Settings → Business Integrations (or Apps and Websites), find Postiada and remove it. Meta invalidates the tokens we hold; we can no longer read from or post to your Page or Instagram account.
- Google Search Console (only if you connected it): in Search Console open Settings → Users and permissions and remove the Postiada service account.
Revoking access does not delete your Postiada account or the data listed above; for that, see the next section.
3. Request deletion of your data
Send an e-mail to info@postiada.com with the subject “Data deletion request”, from the e-mail address on your Postiada account, and name the website(s) concerned. If you write from another address we will ask you to confirm from the account address first, so that nobody can delete your data on your behalf.
What happens next:
- We confirm receipt within 2 working days and give you a reference number.
- We stop all publishing for the site(s) at once and revoke our own access to your WordPress, Facebook and Instagram accounts.
- Within 30 days we delete your account data, your connection data (application passwords, tokens, identifiers), your verified-facts file, our working copies of generated content, and any early-access request you submitted. Backups that still contain the data are rotated out within a further 30 days.
- We send you a confirmation when the deletion is complete.
Invoices and payment records are kept for the period required by UK tax law (currently 6 years) and cannot be deleted earlier; they contain only the billing details needed for the invoice.
4. Removing Postiada as a Facebook app
If you removed Postiada from your Facebook settings, Meta may show you a link to this page as the app’s data deletion instructions. Removing the app already revoked our access; to have the associated data deleted as well, follow section 3. You may quote the Facebook user or Page identifier in your request if you prefer not to share your e-mail history; we will match it against our records.
5. What is not deleted
Articles published to your WordPress site and posts published to your Instagram and Facebook accounts are yours and live on systems you control. We do not delete them unless you explicitly ask us to in the same request and we still hold valid access at that moment; otherwise you can remove them yourself at any time.
